I would say these results are pretty convincing
The blood test results were proof of the power of the BalancePoint program. I participated in the BalancePoint study and got phenomenal results: LDL “bad” cholesterol drop of 81 points and HDL “good” cholesterol increase of 21 points in two weeks. I felt so good that right at the end of the program I walked the 6 km. Boulder Bolder, which I hadn’t done in years.
I was not looking for weight loss, and there really wasn’t any because I very simply kept my oil consumption at a level that would maintain my current weight.
I have some arthritis and it seemed that my joint pain was not as noticeable during the study. I discovered this because my body wasn’t reminding me I needed to do yoga in the mornings to relieve the pain. I’ve been told since then that getting away from grain-based carbohydrates and other starches probably reduced inflammation throughout my body and reduced my joint pain. Got off statins completely
I wanted to see if I could get off statins. I was taking a 10mg dose of Lipitor when I went on the BalancePoint protocol. After two weeks, I got my LDLs below 50 mg/dl. My doctor said it was fine to go off the drugs.
I have found over the last two years that if I stay on the BalancePoint diet, I can keep my LDLs below 100, and so stay off statins. If I stray off the diet, my numbers go back up to 130 so I to back on the diet and the numbers quickly retreat to below 100. I also find I can very precisely control my weight by adjusting the amount of olive oil within the BalancePoint formula.
Blood sugar back to normal
After my system got used to a much smaller amount of carbs, I was okay, and my blood sugar level stayed at about 90-100, instead of previous 100-120.
Since the two weeks last August, I’ve noticed a couple more things. The arthritis in my hands has diminished and almost disappeared, and my tennis game has grown stronger and more consistent. Also the numbness in the bottom of my feet, caused by the diabetes type 2, has stabilized and begun to diminish.

It took a day or two to get used to the dishes I had to “conform” to eating. My taste buds have changed by going on this program. So, yes, I did enjoy the food and dishes I made.
A major factor on this diet was my mindset. I had to be ready in my mind to take full take advantage of this diet (I think it more as a program for health). For me it took focus, determination and discipline to stay on this diet program. Once my mind was set, I did it. Measuring the food and entering into the BalancePoint journal was helpful to keep me on target for my protein, fats, and carbs. It’s amazing how the right fats especially olive oil is a good
for the body!
The nutritional tracker is useful. First, the tracker made me accountable to enter the grams for what I ate. Secondly, it calculates the percentage range for the protein, fats and carbohydrates. Lastly, I began to get an idea of the portion sizes.
The program was very effective! My weight started to drop (lost 10 lbs.) without exercising, and felt much better (who wants to walk around with extra pounds). For one thing, many of my friends noticed a difference too! What they didn’t know was not only the pounds were dropping so were the high cholesterol and triglyceride levels, and I mean high!
I was very pleased indeed with my results! My cholesterol level was 268 and my triglyceride level was 268. After 2 weeks, I was shocked! My new cholesterol level dropped to 196 (-72 points), and my new triglycerides level was 91 (-177 points). FANTASTIC! My LDL (bad cholesterol) was 158 and after 123 (-35 points). Now those are GREAT numbers, without medication!
I was excited this morning because my weight is now 127! I had to have my husband look at the scale. He said, “Yes, WOW, you can get into a 2 piece again!”
I am continuing on the program because it works and shows results.

I now control my weight and cardiovascular health
It was amazing to be on a 1200 calorie/day diet for two weeks and never be hungry.
The effect on my blood pressure was remarkable, from my measurements at home my blood pressure dropped from more than 155/130 to less than 120/80 in two weeks. Based on the blood test results I also had a corresponding improvement in my overall cholesterol levels.
Many aspects of the diet now seem quite natural to me, and as a result, even after the two week protocol I have been able to easily control my weight.
I lost more than 15 pounds and radically improved my cardiovascular health in just two weeks. I have not regained any of the weight I have lost. It has resulted in a significant, healthy shift in my diet habits. Many aspects of the food protocol now seem quite natural to me.
I now feel like “Gorrilla in the Mist” when I go foraging in the market!

I enjoyed the food on the program. It not only tasted better but I felt so much better.
The ups and downs of wanting to consume large amounts of carbs went away… I was never hungry. My joint stiffness is gone… I feel more flexible.
My results were the proof… I lost about 10lbs and my cholesterol went below 200 for the 1st time! Linda had similar results without as much weight loss.

I’m the kind of guy who has eaten a relatively healthy diet, by most standards, my entire life. I’ve always been in good shape, and my blood panels have always shown my overall cholesterol at about 170. The doctor has always told me I need to get my LDLs below 100. He said to do this with exercise. Well, here’s the problem with that. I already exercise like a bandit, and I have most of my life.
After two weeks on BalancePoint, my LDLs went down to 79, and my HDLs went up to 60. I couldn’t believe it. Nothing else had ever worked for me.
It was clear to me, at least in my case, that exercise doesn’t do much, if anything, to lower LDLs. What did lower my LDLs, for the first time ever, was this high fat, oil-rich diet. After two years, I still use BalancePoint to keep my LDLs down.

A day doesn’t go by that someone doesn’t compliment me on how well I’m looking.
My husband happened to see an ad about BalancePoint Health. It said that one could have a rapid reduction in their cholesterol in two weeks’s time by following their program. This peaked his interest since his brother and father both died from heart attacks. When he asked me if I might be interested in doing the program with him I didn’t hesitate in saying yes. I was ready to make a life change. I felt I was long overdue.
As the saying goes, diets don’t work. But this one does work because one learns how to eat right. I am so much more aware of what I put into my mouth now. It wasn’t easy giving up some of my favorite things such as most dairy and breads. However, since I did, I have never felt better in all my life! I thought before I had a reasonable amount of energy but now I feel like I am 20 years younger!
Having my husband on the diet with me made it that much more easy for both of us. And surprisingly, we didn’t get that hungry during the day. If we did, we snacked on almonds, walnuts, blueberries, or a slice of apple, etc, things they suggested.
It got easier every day and then just became routine. I have continued on with the program after two weeks and I am more enthused about it than ever! I have never felt better. And when you know something is working for you, why change it?
The most exciting and amazing part for us was to go in for blood work after two weeks and see how drastically our cholesterol had dropped. Mine went from 224 to 185. Reduced statin dosage and lost over 25 pounds
What brought me to BalancePoint was a desire to reduce my cholesterol so I could cut back on the dosage of statin drugs I have been taking for the last 5 years.
The first 5 days were tough, as my body made an adjustment to being a lipid based system. I had to re-train the way I ate and the foods I liked to make it work better. I was able to mentally resolve to get through the 2 weeks, as it didn’t seem that long. Once I did, and my body adjusted, I was fine there on out. I think anything longer would have been more daunting, anything less too unsubstantial a commitment.
Since I started the Jumpstart program I’ve lost over 25 pounds. I feel I have a lot more energy now, and don’t feel weighted down or bloated anymore. In regards to my cholesterol levels, I reduced everything in half, and as a result cut my statin medication in half, too.
I stay on the protocol. . . it has made me a lot healthier. The most important element that I’ve taken away is that I can eat healthy and feel great!

Lowered cholesterol and no more arthritis and blood pressure meds
I did enjoy the food on the program - once I got in tune with eating egg white omelettes, Greek yogurt with the added cocoa, I would look very forward to the meals and snacks!
Once I started, I had absolutely no problem adhering to the rules. I really did not yearn or miss the bread or cheese and the grains on my “normal” diet.
My original goal for the diet was to lower my cholesterol = my doctor had suggested it since statin type pills were not recommended for taking while I am taking other medication.
Not only did BalancePoint Point lower my cholesterol, the regime has changed my life for other reasons. I had suffered from an arthritis problem which affects the large bones - I had been on medications for it. This week I will be totally weaned off both medicines.
I am down to just one blood pressure pill daily instead of 3 - and should be off them soon also.
I have lost about 15 pounds - easily. I have wonderful energy and just have a great outlook
I used to wake up - and this is just months ago–takings meds for high blood pressure and steroids and pills for my arthritis, and now I don’t and that is wonderful.

I know that I am in control.
My favorite thing about Balance Point is that I know that I am in control. It is almost laughable to hear my friends, who are on medication, talk about the issues that they have to deal with. I try to be helpful and mention the diet but when they hear a few of the principles of the diet such as no grains and limited dairy they don’t want any part of it. They would sooner take that pill regardless of what it might be doing to their systems. My mindset is totally different. As a kid growing up we never went to a doctor unless we were really sick. If it isn’t broke don’t fix it. No question we have the best acute care in the world, but when it comes to chronic conditions they are just masking the symptoms, not getting to the root cause.
