FAQs
Is the BalancePoint diet based on research?
Yes. We have done extensive research and hundreds of people have followed the protocol resulting in significant positive changes to their cholesterol levels as measured by detailed cholesterol tests, blood pressure, weight and cardiovascular elasticity.
What’s the difference between BalancePoint and South Beach or Atkins?
Balance point was specifically designed to improve cardiovascular health. In addition to being an effective weight loss program (if weight loss is desired) it is extremely effective at reducing “bad” cholesterol, increasing “good” cholesterol, and lowering blood pressure and inflammation.
What does the diet entail?
The diet is well-balanced and extremely healthy. The mainstays of the diet are healthy fats such as olive oil, nuts, and avocados and large amount and varieties of vegetables and greens.
Does it work?
Yes. The diet is extremely rapid and effective in reducing cholesterol and inflammation as exhibited in the scientifically-monitored test results we have collected from participants.
Is this a quick fix?
Yes and no. The diet is extremely rapid and effective. In fact, in as little as two weeks cholesterol and inflammation levels are vastly reduced. In that sense it is a quick fix. However, the 2-Week program is designed to be a bridge to lifelong maintenance and health. Thus, the diet is designed to be both a quick fix and a long term lifestyle change.
How does it work?
The first step is to make an appointment for an entrance interview. In the entrance interview you are provided with an orientation to the diet, access to nutritional and wellness software, training, information on receiving blood tests, and counseling. During the program you receive additional counseling and support. At the end of the 2-Week program there is an exit interview during which your test results are reviewed and the lifestyle maintenance program is introduced.
How much does it cost?
$385 which includes 5 cholesterol tests, year-long support and counseling, access to our web based wellness software for one year, and the BalancePoint Guidebook.
What happens after the 2-week program?
The 2-Week Jumpstart program is designed with an entrance and exit interview which are either onsite or via telephone. In the exit interview you are counseled and provided with ongoing support tools. The ongoing program is a more relaxed version of the Jumpstart program.
Do I need to have a physician to do the program?
No, but we recommend that you consult with and receive approval from your doctor if you have any health issues.
How do I get started?
Call or email BalancePoint to make an appointment for the entrance interview and orientation. This appointment takes approximate 1 and ½ hours.
